Course contents

This Specialist Master’s Programme provides an accurate overview of the current available technologies for full scale applications concerning control and environmental remediation, which have developed thanks to recent research and working experiences in this area.
In particular, the programme will explore aspects and issues relating to applicable regulations, characterization of contaminated sites, risk analysis, technologies for relevant environmental components remediation, implementation of safety measures in old landfill sites.
Given the characteristics of the pollutants and the geological contexts involved, the potential, limits and future developments of each technology illustrated will be critically examined.
In-depth courses on specific issues are planned, open also to people not enrolled in this Specialist Master's Programme. Courses will be run subject to number of students enrolled.

L’obiettivo del Master è la formazione di una figura professionale tecnico scientifica di alta qualificazione in grado di affrontare e gestire la rilevante e complessa problematica multidisciplinare riguardante la caratterizzazione e il recupero di siti contaminati. Tale figura sarà in grado di relazionarsi ed interagire con enti di ricerca, strutture pubbliche di pianificazione e controllo, società e studi professionali, organizzazioni ambientaliste che a vario titolo sono coinvolti nelle tematiche della contaminazione dei suoli e dei connessi interventi di risanamento.
