Course contents

The course in International, European and Comparative Legal Studies (IECoLS) aims to provide students with an all-around legal education along with a strong international and comparative perspective and steady focus on legal issues globally.
Classes are delivered in English in order to offer students a transnational approach to law, opening up the opportunity to pursue their careers abroad.
The course structure contributes to the education of law experts with a sound knowledge of Western law, and a privileged point of observation on Chinese law and economics, thanks to specific modules on the latter issues. Such professionals will have the skills to operate effectively in an international work context and be ready to further study in Italy and abroad, both in the legal and non-legal areas, on courses designed to develop specialist skills and in-depth geographical awareness.

Per accedere al corso, lo studente dovrà soddisfare entrambi i seguenti requisiti:
- il possesso di un diploma di scuola secondaria di secondo grado o di altro titolo di studio conseguito all'estero, idoneo all'accesso a un corso di studi universitario equivalente alla laurea;
- la conoscenza certificata (salvo quanto previsto sotto) della lingua inglese ad un livello pari o superiore a B2 nel Quadro comune europeo di riferimento per la conoscenza delle lingue.
In ragione della specificità del corso, sono inoltre richieste una solida preparazione culturale di base e buone capacità di espressione linguistica, nonché di analisi e sintesi di testi di medio-alta complessità.

Admission
An adequate level of prior knowledge is required, which will be tested by means of TOLC (CISIA online test). This is not a limited access course, consequently, any student scoring below the minimum threshold established by the programme can still enrol but additional educational activities will be guaranteed to compensate for any gaps (so-called additional educational obligations - OFA). These activities must be completed within the first year of the course. Rights of data subjects:

  • You can exercise the rights granted to you by current legislation on the protection of personal data, including the right to ask the data controller to access your personal data and to correct or erase them, restrict or object to processing of your data, in addition to the right of data portability within the limits of the provisions of art. 15-21 of Regulation the 2016/679;
  • Pursuant to art. 77 of the Regulation, if you believe that the processing of your data violates the legislation on the protection of personal data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority or the control authority of the EU Member State in which you usually reside, work or the place where the alleged violation occurred;
