Course contents

The Degree Programme focuses on learning English and Spanish languages and cultures as well as interpreting techniques and strategies, in particular negotiation and translation. Classes on international law, business economics and cultural and institutional characteristics of English and Spanish speaking areas.

To access the degree programme, a basic understanding of Italian language and an understanding of English at level B1, at least, is required.
Other educational requirements
To access the course, a previous suitable background is required. Each curriculum requires specific knowledge, which the student should have before enrolling the university in order to attend the course successfully. This knowledge may be verified before enrolling.
If the result of the test is negative, the student can enroll, but they receive a supplementary required exam (OFA), which means that the student must fill any gaps in their background through specific activities organized by the University.

Admission selection
The degree programme in Linguistic and Cultural Mediation is of limited admission and expect candidates to carry out a test: in fact, registration is conditioned by the position of a candidate on the ranking list. All the specific information on the process of pre-registration, selection and enrolment are included in the call for applications that will be published in April. The admissions procedure occurs as follows: - online registration, if you are not already enrolled at Ca’ Foscari; - online pre-registration for the admissions test; - taking the admissions test and insertion onto the ranking list; - matriculation online and payment of the first tax installment and of the contributions to university. The admissions test will be carried out remotely Tuesday 23rd August 2022. The details regarding how this will occur at and what time will be communicated via email a few days before the closure of the registration period. Please note that in order to take the entry test you will need to have the following: - a personal computer; - a smartphone or tablet; - an internet connection via Wi-Fi or a smartphone.
