Course contents

Healthcare education, in a context of change and increasing complexity aimed at creating an integrated socio-healthcare system that ensures better and more effective management of changing citizens' health needs, must now consider the strong link between management and innovation (technological and organizational). This also means training professionals who play a key role as managers within the healthcare system, managers who understand the rules of public management and know how to apply them within healthcare realities, considering the specificities of each of them. Therefore, education is called upon to adapt the skills of a "new" profile of managers who are capable of:
Planning, taking into account constraints and existing limitations, through specific objectives, implementing and evaluating the achieved goals.
Providing appropriate, effective, and efficient responses to citizens' health needs, consistent with the nature of the needs.
Leading healthcare organizations through a conscious management of human resources as both "means and ends" at the same time.
Thinking about the future in order to ensure greater equity of access and overall sustainability of the healthcare system.
The objective of the University Advanced Training Course for Healthcare/Hospital Management is to enable participants to develop an awareness of their managerial responsibility for the planning, direction, and financial/accounting control of complex healthcare organizations.
This is also considering the recent innovations introduced by the legislator, which require a deep reflection on the reorganization of healthcare administration through the development of good management practices, not only to prevent healthcare risk and ensure patient safety but also to defend the healthcare facility and its personnel in legal proceedings.
The course will allow participants to acquire skills related to the analysis and evaluation of organizational models, strategic and operational planning, performance analysis, management of economic, technological, and human resources (with particular attention to decision-making processes, motivation, and conflict management), also in the post-pandemic perspective and in light of the reforms required by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR).
