Course contents

Il Corso si propone i seguenti obiettivi:

- fornire gli strumenti per il riconoscimento, lo screening, la valutazione e la diagnosi di soggetti adolescenti e adulti con disturbo dello spettro autistico, avvalendosi degli strumenti diagnostici più all'avanguardia;
- in base al proprio background formativo, ampliare le competenze del corsista sulla progettazione di trattamenti farmacologici/psicologici/educativi personalizzati per questa popolazione;
- formare figure professionali che a vario titolo possano sostenere il percorso formativo di adolescenti e giovani adulti con disturbo dello spettro autistico nell'ambito della scuola secondaria di primo e secondo livello e dell'Università;
- fornire competenze per costruire un progetto di vita sostenibile per una persona dello spettro autistico, promuovendo il suo inserimento lavorativo e sociale.

Sarà valorizzato un approccio di trattamento evidence-based (basato sui risultati della ricerca più recente) e che promuove la rete assistenziale tra le diverse figure professionali.

Enti o Soggetti esterni nazionali o internazionali potranno contribuire al funzionamento del master mediante l'erogazione di borse di studio finalizzate ad iscrizione/frequenza tirocini. In caso di finalizzazione dei predetti accordi, ne verrà data pubblicità sul sito del master così come verranno pubblicati i criteri di assegnazione.

La figura professionale formata nel Corso potrà trovare sbocco in/come:

- centri per la valutazione e il trattamento di disturbi dello spettro autistico;
- terzo settore (cooperative sociali);
- job coach aziendale;
- educatore scolastico e ad-personam;
- psicologo scolastico o libero professionista operante nel campo dell'autismo.

Il Corso ha lo scopo di formare varie tipologie di professionisti dell'ambito sanitario (medici, infermieri, Terp, educatori professionali, psicologi, assistenti sociali) ed educativo (insegnanti di sostegno, educatori scolastici, pedagogisti), al fine di fornire le basi per riconoscere e comprendere il problema, nonché creare progetti individualizzati per le persone adolescenti e adulte con disturbo dello spettro autistico. Data l'elevata prevalenza del problema (1 bambino su 54 è affetto da tale patologia) e la maggiore attenzione sociale che attualmente vi è per taledisturbo, le richieste di interventi mirati e specifici stanno crescendo a dismisura a fronte di una scarsa offerta formativa sia in termini numerici che qualitativi.
