Course contents

The postgraduate course in Business Administration (LM 77, named in Italian “laurea magistrale in Business Administration”). This program provides students with a high-level education in the business management field. The main subjects taught at the first year deepen and broaden students’ understanding of the business functions in big, complex and multinational companies. Integrating reporting, International law and taxation, Quality and environment management, Business organization, International corporate finance and Capital markets are considered fundamental courses, together with Interpreting the macroeconomic scenario and Managing change and innovation. At the second year, students will select their major from the two alternatives offered: a curriculum in Business Management and International Marketing choosing between Brand Management, International Management, Entrepreneurship, Digital Transformation and a curriculum in 'Finance and Accounting' choosing between Management Information Systems and Internal Control, Business Plan, Mergers & Acquisition, Financial engineering, corporate sustainability. The program concludes with a compulsory internship and a final project. The project work should be strictly based on a deep-contact experience within an organization, providing again a new opportunity to all students to enhance their academic knowledge with field experience.
The international exposure consists not only in studying in English with a global perspective, but is strengthened through classes with foreign classmates and visiting professors, exchanges with our Erasmus and extra UE partners, internships carried out in big companies in and out of Italy.
With this program, we aim to contribute to create a new generation of open-minded, serious and well prepared managers, who can hold top job position such as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer in complex, multinational and multicultural companies.

All information is published on the School of Management website: https://www.sme.unito.it/en/orientation/how-matriculate-andor-enrol-courses/rules-and-regulation-entry-test-master-degree The teaching approach differs from the traditional Italian style that distributes the face-to-face learning times through the semester. To encourage the involvement of foreign professors, classes are intensive. This means that the lectures are taught in blocks, sometimes as short as 2 weeks sometimes 3 weeks, and student learning is compressed. Typically, students study only one course at a time and take the assessment at the end of each single course. Therefore, attendance is highly recommended.
