Course contents

The experiences developed with the 1st level degree 'Exercise and Sport Sciences' and presented under the previous system and the considerable importance that have taken in recent years many areas of science applied to sports techniques have led to advance the proposal for a 2nd level course devoted entirely the study of Sciences and advanced techniques in sports.
Graduates in this course must:
-Have a thorough preparation in the culture of physical education and be able to design, conduct and manage motor activities, with attention to gender;
-Have knowledge of the theoretical, methodological and technical fundamentals of training in various disciplines;
-Have a thorough knowledge of methods and techniques most appropriate for the functional evaluation of the athlete, with attention to protection of its health that has to be preserved from the risks related to doping activities;
-Have specific expertise in the design and management of sporting activities for disabled people;
-Be able to be fluent in written and oral form, at least one European language other than Italian, with particular attention to the specific technical terminology;
-Be able to use the main IT tools in specific areas of competence;
-Be able to work autonomously, taking responsibility for projects and facilities.
For these purposes, the 2nd level degree in Sciences and advanced techniques in sports:
-Includes training activities designed to deepen the basic sports training and its application in relation to experimental and analytical methods used in sport, the completion of application of mathematical, statistical, IT tools;
-Includes training activities aimed at acquiring skills needed to build technical sport projects with the aim of measuring and evaluating the effects of movement and sport practice;
- Includes lessons and exercises as internships, activated in the School’s facilities or in the public or private sector;
- Includes lectures and laboratory exercises aimed at the knowledge of tools, methods and protocols relevant to the research in sport.
Graduates of the 2nd level course in “Sciences and advanced techniques in sports” will perform functions of high responsibility in various areas of design, operation and management of sports all the way to the professional level.

Ranking criteria:
Each correct answer will be worth 1 point for the final score, each non given answer will be worth 0 points, each wrong answer will result in a penalty of 0.25 points.
The list will be formed by the test scores from highest to lowest. In the event of a tied score the candidate who has given most correct answers will be given priority. In case of a further tie, the candidate who is younger by birth. Students who have obtained a minimum score equal to or greater than 14 and who will be usefully placed on the ranking list will be able to enroll.
