Course contents

Graduated in the L/DS (the Bachelor’s Degree in Strategic Sciences) are admitted to the Master’s Degree in Strategic Sciences. The Syllabus of the Course of Studies points out other curricula requirements for those students who are from other degree groups. The Syllabus of the Course of Studies also defines the processes of the student’s personal experience evaluation.
1. To enter the Master’s Degree in Strategic Sciences is necessary to hold a “Laurea” or a Bachelor’s Degree of the legal period of three years or other title held in a foreign country, recognized by the law. Graduated students should also have both some curricular criteria and a personal education that results acknowledged throughout an evaluation.
2. It is assessed that the Student has achieved a satisfactory capacity of use of IT tools and an appropriate knowledge of a second UE language (capacity is considered as the ability of interaction talking reading and listening, also the capacity needs to be linked to an academic communication).
3. The Master’s Degree in Strategic Sciences is an open course of Studies, The requirement for the enrolment is a good personal education. The enrolment could be done just in case of passing the interview scheduled to evaluate the education of the student, took place with the presence of two Professors, named by the Council of the Study Course. The access to the interview is subordinated to the previous achievement of criteria required.
4. To be enrolled in the Master’s Degree in Strategic Sciences the candidate has to own one of the following academic requirements.
- Bachelor’s Degree in DS/1 o L/DS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in different degree groups: students should have earned minimum 30 ETCS, with a tolerance of 10% (3cfu), in the overall academic field:

If the candidate, during the enrolment, has already obtained a Master’s Degree or a Foreign Master, the evaluation will be done on the ETCS that the student earned in the entire academic path.
Candidates, who in the moment of the enrolment did not earn at least 27 ETCS, within the upside taped sectors, before to enter the evaluation interview based on the personal experience, should achieve a certificate of eligibility released after taking a written and oral exam based on the equivalent program of one/two exam which weight is 9 ETCS, based also on what professors, selected for the evaluation of the curricula eligibility criteria, noticed regarding a lack of knowledge. If the professors took charge the verification, the certificate of eligibility could be granted directly by those professors who had carried out the evaluation. Those candidates, who in the moment of the enrolment, did not earn at least 27 ETCS within the upside taped sectors, before to enter the evaluation interview based on the personal experience, could also enrol to individual courses offered by the Universities leading to those sectors that have been taped in the previous pages with the condition that students have to pass relatives exams. The enrolment to the Master’s Degree in strategic Sciences anyway is subordinated to the good result achieved at the evaluation interview about the personal preparation.

The candidate that has already achieved (in possession of) curricula criteria, could take the interview for the evaluation of the personal preparation (as well as he is waiting for the degree, but that he is already earned at least 27 ETCS in the related sectors. The interview, carried out by two professors assigned, is to (ascertain) verify that the candidate in possession of the curricula requirements had mature the suitable familiarity with the subjects’ method and knowledge to the developing of own studies in the field of the Master’s Degree in Strategic Sciences, in relation of the selected profile as well. The academic fields, which are object of evaluation, are belonging to the political, historical, sociological, legal and scientific areas. The interview, up to verify the suitable personal preparation, could be held in English. If the mark of the interview had positive, the tutors would give the approval without reservation for the enrolment.
6. By the date of publication of the Teaching Regulations of each year, the Committee of Studies Course nominates the professors that will verify both the candidate’s curricula requirements and the suitable personal preparation, related to the selected profile as well. The name of professors, the modalities and the deadlines of the presentation of the verification request will be made public by the date of publication of the Studies Manifesto through the SUISS’s web site in the specific area. The Candidate, who will not respect the modalities and deadlines, fixed for the evaluation of curricula requirements and personal preparation, would not be accepted in the verification and the consequences will be the impossibility to enrol to the Master’s Degree in Strategic Sciences.
7. Candidates who are not from UE are subjected to the overrun of the test for the verification of Italian language and the enrolment, only if the verification of the curricula requirements and personal preparation will be positive. The access to this verification is subordinated to the possession of curricula requirements verified by the Commission Recognition of Foreign Academic Titles with respect to current legislation. The interviews will take place in telematic mode upon communication with the SUISS website, at the presence of at least two Teachers of the Master’s Degree; candidate will not be allowed to admission more than twice for each academic year.
Students who are admitted to the Master’s Degree Course must complete the procedure online registration, within and beyond the deadlines set by the relevant academic deadlines of the University enrolment in free access to Master’s Degree Programs.
