Course contents

Il Master di secondo Livello in Ecocardiografia Interventistica si propone di fornire ai partecipanti un’adeguata e aggiornata preparazione teorica e pratica nel campo della ecocardiografia interventistica, al fine di renderli autonomi ad eseguire ed interpretare esami ecocardiografici standard e tridimensionali nonché a monitorare le principali procedure di interventistica cardiaca strutturale. I partecipanti verranno essere esposti a tutte le metodiche di diagnostica per immagini utili ai fini di diagnosi, indicazione al trattamento e scelta del trattamento più appropriato. Gli obiettivi del Master quindi sono:

Fornire informazioni riguardanti la metodologia, le indicazioni e l’uso clinico dell’ecocardiografia bidimensionale e tridimensionale;
Acquisire elementi di anatomia cardiovascolare mediante l’imaging multimodale;
Esporre lo studente alle più moderne opzioni terapeutiche interventistiche per le cardiopatie strutturali;
Imparare a porre indicazioni al trattamento percutaneo o chirurgico riguardo le cardiopatie strutturali;
Acquisire elementi di organizzazione e sicurezza dell’ambiente di lavoro che prevede l’interazione tra cardiologo interventista ed imager (sala di emodinamica);
Rendere lo studente autonomo al termine del percorso formativo nel monitorare le principali procedure di interventistica strutturale.

L’attività formativa è soggetta a verifiche periodiche attraverso test con domande a risposta multipla e prove pratiche.

Il corsista dovrà annotare su un registro l’attività pratica svolta precisando il numero di esami ecocardiografici transtoracici e transesofagei totali effettuati in ambulatorio ed in sale di emodinamica, quelle assistite e quelle eseguite sotto supervisione.

Inoltre verranno effettuate verifiche periodiche su casi clinici di patologia cardiaca strutturale dal punto di vista diagnostico e terapeutico.

L’elaborato finale consiste nella redazione e discussione di una tesi al termine del percorso del master da presentare davanti alla Commissione Didattica.

Come per le verifiche periodiche, la prova finale non dà luogo a votazione, ma solo al giudizio “positivo”, eventualmente con merito, o “negativo”. In caso di giudizio negativo è possibile ripetere la prova finale una sola volta; le modalità anche temporali della ripetizione sono definite dalla Commissione Didattica del Master.

Il conseguimento del titolo è subordinato all'acquisizione dei 60 CFU previsti, inclusi quelli attribuiti al superamento di una prova finale di accertamento delle competenze complessive acquisite, tenendo anche conto dell’attività di tirocinio.
