Course contents

L'epidemiologia si occupa della distribuzione e dei determinanti delle malattie nella popolazione, svolgendo oggi un ruolo fondamentale nella prevenzione e controllo delle patologie e nell’organizzazione dei servizi sociosanitari. Considerando l'interdisciplinarietà della materia, il Master di secondo livello in Epidemiologia si propone di favorire la collaborazione tra professionisti della salute, epidemiologi, biostatistici, e altre figure coinvolte nella promozione della salute pubblica. Il programma si svilupperà con una parte comune e approfondimenti negli ambiti dell’epidemiologia clinica, o dell’epidemiologia per la sanità pubblica.

Il Master garantisce agli studenti un’esperienza formativa unica, grazie alla struttura blended learning e all’approccio didattico applicativo, al prestigioso corpo docente e ai partner istituzionali e aziendali di rilievo nei settori di riferimento.

Obiettivi Formativi
Gli obiettivi formativi riguardano le più attuali emergenze sanitarie, come la gestione delle epidemie, la sorveglianza epidemiologica, la salute globale e l'impiego di tecnologie informatiche avanzate e di intelligenza artificiale nella pratica epidemiologica, e mirano a formare esperti in grado di guidare l'implementazione di strategie di programmazione e prevenzione delle malattie, a livello nazionale e internazionale, anche mediante lo sviluppo di competenze avanzate in analisi statistica e sperimentazione clinico-farmacologica.

Le attività formative saranno organizzate in blocchi didattici on campus della durata di 3-4 giornate, e in appuntamenti sincroni, da remoto, un pomeriggio/sera a settimana. La programmazione di dettaglio sarà messa a disposizione dei partecipanti prima dell’avvio delle attività formative.

Le attività pratiche e di tirocinio si svolgeranno sia in presenza, sia a distanza, secondo modalità e cadenze definite con il Direttore del Master e i tutor.

La didattica frontale corrisponde ad un totale di 160 ore, erogate in presenza e da remoto, cui si aggiungono 56 ore (7 giornate) dedicate ad ulteriori attività formative.

Il percorso sarà erogato in modalità mista - blended learning, secondo la seguente articolazione:
- le lezioni a distanza, pensate per approfondire le singole tematiche oggetto degli insegnamenti del Master, che consentono la fruizione delle lezioni in modo più agevole agli studenti fuori sede;
- le lezioni in presenza, pensate per favorire il networking e le attività di carattere pratico-laboratoriale, organizzate in blocchi di più giornate consecutive; il primo blocco inaugura il Master.

Il Master si rivolge prevalentemente, ma non esclusivamente, ai seguenti profili accademici e professionali:
- medici specialisti e specializzandi in qualsiasi disciplina;
- laureati magistrali in discipline umanistiche, scientifiche, scienze politiche, giuridiche ed economiche, statistica, discipline ingegneristiche e architettoniche, filosofia, psicologia, scienze infermieristiche e professioni sanitarie;
- quadri, funzionari pubblici e dipendenti di vario livello nella sanità e in enti/aziende operanti nell’ambito dei servizi sanitari.

La selezione dei candidati consisterà in una valutazione dei titoli a cura della Direzione del Master: A ogni candidato può essere attribuito un punteggio massimo di 15 punti, così distribuito: - Curriculum formativo e professionale, fino a 5 punti; - Voto di laurea, fino a 2 punti; - Attinenza della tesi, fino a 2 punti; - Altri titoli di studio (tra cui a titolo esemplificativo e non esaustivo, specializzazione anche in corso, PHD, Master….), fino a 2 punti; - Pubblicazioni scientifiche attinenti, fino a 4 punti. Per entrare nella graduatoria di valutazione titoli è prevista una soglia minima di 3 punti sotto la quale il candidato può essere giudicato non idoneo alla frequenza al Master.
