Course contents

The doctorate aims to analyze, understand and exploit, perspectives and with different methodologies, the many aspects of the cultural tangible and intangible: the archaeological monument to urban, from historical documents, archival, literary and philosophical to the different forms of expression artistic and cultural. The concentration methodological and operating on the territory on which insists the course - the Sicilian territory, full of peculiarities and unique resources in the national and international - promotes and enables a general education of high profile on all fronts of knowledge and practice of good cultural, while the theory and practice of teaching inter and multidisciplinary provide research training opportunities integrated and global. The course, historically contextualized perspective Mediterranean and European (including the tradition of the grand tour) winds on the one hand on the line of research and archeological studies, art and architecture, and the other on the head of the aesthetic definition, cataloging and interpretation of the intangible asset in its types. Within the socio-economic landscape Regional doctorate aims to develop - in the field of Cultural Heritage and cultural tourism - the ability of the doctoral students of European design, catalyst resources, stimulation of investment, entrepreneurial interaction between public and private.
