Course contents

The Doctoral program in "Business and Behavioural Sciences" is positioned within the behavioral and experimental paradigm that has engaged economic and managerial sciences in the third millennium. The Doctoral program is explicitly designed around interdisciplinary contamination, and this choice is reflected in the composition of the faculty board.
Specifically, with reference to ERC descriptors, the Doctoral program combines the following research fields:

SH1: Individuals, Institutions and Markets: Economics, finance and management
SH4: The Human Mind and Its Complexity: Cognitive science, psychology, linguistics, education

The Doctoral program aims to give particular attention to the study of "economic decision-making" in relation to Industry 5.0 themes.

The program includes a mandatory 6-month period abroad.

Admission selection
For the admission to the exam the candidate is submitted to a preselection based on the project evaluation. The candidates who obtain at least 15/25 will be admitted to the oral interview. Criteria evaluation: A. CURRENT RESEARCH STATUS from 0 to 5 B. ORIGINALITY AND INNOVATIVE CONTENT from 0 to 5 C. PROJECT FEASIBILITY from 0 to 5 D. CLARITY AND COMPLETENESS OF OBJECTIVES AND RESULTS from 0 to 5 E. RELEVANCE OF THE PROJECT TO THE PhD PROGRAM from 0 to 5 The publication of students admitted to the oral exam will be published on the following web site https://www.scuolasuperiore.unich.it/bandi-di-concorso. ORAL INTERVIEW: During the oral exam, candidates will: a) discuss their CV (max 40 points); c) discuss their research proposal (max 50 points); d) assessment of knowledge of the foreign language (max 10 points). In order to be eligible, candidates must achieve a total score of at least 60/100 points

• 1) "Analysis of organizational behaviors: data-driven solutions for upskilling and improving retention in companies" AUTOMOTIVE DOMAIN (qualification of human capital, upskilling and reskilling) (with mandatory 6-month period at Umana-Analytics Srl S.B. company)
• 2) "Human behaviors and monitoring systems for production quality optimization" AUTOMOTIVE DOMAIN (techniques and systems for monitoring, control and certification of product quality on line) (with mandatory 6-month period at Umana-Analytics Srl S.B. company)
• 3) "Neuromarketing and behavioral sciences for innovation and communication in the wine sector" AGRIFOOD DOMAIN (Marketing and communication innovation) (with mandatory 6-month period at Umana-Analytics Srl S.B. company)

Employment opportunities

The main employment opportunities for future Ph.D holders are in the managerial field, for medium-large companies (that are typically active on both a domestic and an international level). The future Ph.D holders interested in pursuing an academic career will be able to work in research centers (including non-university ones) or in other public and private bodies, in Italy or abroad. The Ph.D aims at making future students able to be employable for the following professional areas:
- Managerial positions (for both private or public and profit or non-profit organizations); administration, accounting, marketing, HR.
- Researcher in the Ph.D research areas.
