Course contents

The main objective of the doctorate is the advanced training of scientists able to make original scientific research and to move competently in the complex landscape of literature, history and culture of ancient Greek and Roman world, as well as in the language and history of medieval and early modern Italian literature, according to a perspective that aims to investigate and develop the elements of continuity over time. The common reference point for both curricula is the centrality of the study of the text and the document, according to the strictest historical and philological methods and in the light of the necessary references to the historical-cultural context and the international perspective required today by the subjects involved.
