Course contents

Doctorate in political sciences coordinates the research training needs of the Dipartimento di Scienze Politiche Dell ' Università degli Studi Roma Tre. As the Department, it is based on the conviction that only a multi-disciplinary approach, substantially enriched by comparison with other disciplines who study politics, can be the basis of the study of the complexity of contemporary politics in its different dimensions.

The doctoral program is structured in three curricula: to "Government and institutions" is dedicated to the themes of economic institutions, the qualitative and quantitative evaluation of public policies through national statistical and economic models, sectoral, and regional governance, public and private management, political system, constitutional, social, institutional, administrative, Italian; to "gender studies" is oriented to the analysis of the relationship between politics, history, society, culture and gender; to "European and International Studies" is oriented to European and international policy: comparative policy analysis of politics and the institutions of European integration, area studies (Western and Eastern Europe, Africa, the United States, Latin America) international relations, the history of contemporary international law and policy, from sociology to study the cultures of Europe and the world. Therefore, in addition to the traditional outlets of University research in the wide range of political studies, the doctorate is oriented to many highly specialized professional figures, such as leadership and management, diplomacy, public institutions and European and international organisations, journalism and the media world, documentation, social-cultural services, matching institutions.
