Course contents

The Master’s Degree Program in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (interclass course LM28-LM29) aims to train a professional figure with in-depth interdisciplinary skills of inter-est in all those technological and ap-plicative fields of common relevance for Electrical and Electronics Engi-neering, such as electrical engineer-ing, electronics (with particular reference to power electronics and sensors), applied electromagnetism, electrical and electronic measurements, automatic controls, and electrical systems.
The professional skills of the gradu-ates of this Degree Program concern the ability to design and use sophisticated electrical and electronic systems in fields such as industrial automation, robotics, automotive industry, biomedical industry, and in systems for smart and automated management of electricity.
The wide use of the laboratories, combined with the frequent project activities in which the students are involved, helps to develop transversal skills and aptitude for problem solving.
Thanks to a synergistic training in the fields of electrical engineering and electronic engineering, the professional opportunities envisaged for master's graduates are numerous and range from technological innovation and production development, to ad-vanced design, planning and pro-gramming, to management of com-plex equipment and systems, both in manufacturing or service companies, and in the freelance profession or in public administrations

E' richiesto il possesso di un'adeguata preparazione nella lingua inglese scritta e orale Tale preparazione dovrà essere testimoniata dal possesso di una certificazione esterna almeno pari al livello B1, così come definito dal Consiglio d’Europa. In alternativa è richiesto il superamento di un esame condotto da una Commissione nominata dal Direttore del Dipartimento DIIES atta a verificare il possesso di una preparazione sufficiente per una proficua fruizione del Corso.

Per essere ammessi al Corso di Laurea Magistrale interclasse in Ingegneria Elettrica ed Elettronica occorre essere in possesso sia di opportuni requisiti curriculari, sia di un'adeguata preparazione personale. I requisiti curriculari consistono nel possesso della Laurea triennale nella Classe L-8 (Ingegneria dell’Informazione) o nella Classe L-9 (Ingegneria Industriale). L'adeguatezza della personale preparazione è verificata da una Commissione, nominata dal Direttore del Dipartimento DIIES e formata da docenti del corso, mediante valutazione della carriera pregressa ed eventuale colloquio.

The main employment opportunities given by the Master’s Degree Course are those of innovation and development of production, advanced design, planning and programming, management of complex systems characterized by the presence of high electrical power densities, both in the freelance profession both in manufacturing or service companies and in public administrations. Graduates find employment in companies that design and manufacture electronic components, equipment and systems; manufacturing industries, public administration sectors and service companies, which apply electrical and electronic technologies and infrastructures, in the civil, industrial and information fields (ICT). Jobs also come from electronic consulting companies, railway companies, car manufacturers and research centers.
