Curriculum: ITALIAN STUDIES AND TEXTUAL SCIENCES
- Comparative Literature and Literary Theory
- Reconstructive philology and authorial philology applied to Italian literary texts
- Italian Literature and Dramatic Literature: texts, authors and critical problems from the thirteenth to the twentieth century.
- History of the Italian Language
- History of Theatre
- History of Music
- Themes, Motifs and Figures of Romance Medieval Fiction

Curriculum: MODERN LITERATURES
Our Ph. D. programme can offer competent supervision to research projects on a variety of authors, themes, genres and works of French, English, Nordic, Polish, Portuguese and Brazilian, Russian, Spanish, German literatures. It especially welcomes projects relating to the research interests of its academic staff and their colleagues of the Department of Modern Languages and Cultures. Curriculum: ANCIENT STUDIES: ARCHAEOLOGY, PHILOLOGY, HISTORY
Our Ph. D. programme can offer competent supervision to research projects on a variety of authors, texts, genres, and themes pertaining to the following scientific areas: Greek, Latin, and Byzantine philology and literature, Greek and Roman history, papyrology, epigraphy, Aegean archaeology, methods of archaeological research. It especially welcomes projects relating to the research interests of its academic staff and their colleagues of the Department DAFIST and DIRAAS. - Cultural PatrimOil: the contribution of the Greek and Latin literary traditions to the understanding of olive cultivation and oil production (project linked to a co-financed grant DM 351- 09/042022).
- Lucus Bromani: a Roman mansio situated along the Iulia Augusta road (project linked to the industrial Ph.D. partnership with the International Institute of Ligurian Studies).
- Iron-Age settlement dynamics and strategies in the Po Valley: residential areas, necropoles, craft sites (project linked to 2 doctoral positions within the industrial Ph.D. partnership with SogeArch srls).
