Course contents

Curriculum: ARTE, SPETTACOLO E TECNOLOGIE MULTIMEDIALI
1- Between reality and virtuality, event and archive, resources and problems of digital technologies, new forms of interactivity and multimedia in relation to artistic and spectacular performance.
2 - Use of virtual and augmented reality; narrative and immersive content and tools for architectural and exhibition environments and social platforms; teaching and learning paths in relation to the creation, archiving and dissemination of visual arts.

Curriculum: LINGUAGGI, LETTERATURE, CULTURE STRANIERE E TECNOLOGIE
1 – A critical analysis of philological-literary research methods, based on archival and library resources, with the application of digital technologies aimed at the creation of literary corpora and the valorization of the research outcomes in a French-speaking context.
2 – An application of digital technologies for research in American Studies, with particular reference to 19th through 21st century North-American.

Curriculum: LINGUE, CULTURE E TECNOLOGIE DIGITALI
1 - Digital technologies to support linguistic research (lexicography, terminology, speech analysis, translation and interpretation, subtitling) and literary research (in a diachronic and synchronic perspective, on specific literary genres, on socio-literary issues, on intermediation): development of multimedia and network models and products, corpora analysis etc.
2 - Digital technologies to support distance learning (methodology for distance language education, MOOCs, autonomous learning through technologies, mobile-assisted language learning); digital tools for assessment and testing (adaptive testing, distance learning, applications for the assessment of L2 texts) and technologies for language learning research (learner corpora and survey methods, computer-supported quantitative/qualitative analysis).
3 - Computational linguistics, artificial intelligence, data analysis and semantic technologies for analysing texts and multimedia resources, extracting information, classifying and interpreting content and its relationships, as a basis for developing conversational interfaces, intelligent digital resources (e.g. MOOCs and intelligent texts), advanced adaptive user interfaces and personalised learning paths.
4 - Innovative methodologies for the management and valorization of PA data on the web; creation of knowledge graphs using a terminology-ontology to link and structure data effectively for the semantic web (Linked Open Data (LOD)). Experimentation of these methodologies for the purpose of analysing a specific case study with the creation of a model that can then be extended to other domains and structures. (DM 351)

Curriculum: LINGUISTICA, LINGUISTICA APPLICATA, ONOMASTICA
1- A critical analysis of the application of computational linguistics on social challenges and development of resources and tools for countering phenomena such as hate speech, sexism and racism in different forms of textual communication in multilingual perspective.
2- Critical reflection and applications of digital technologies to languages and cultures (design and development of multimedia and networked products, use of technologies for language learning and teaching research in specific humanistic fields, with particular reference to foreign languages and Italian as L1 and FL/L2).
3- Serious games to facilitate technology-enhanced adaptive learning, to promote the development of problem solving skills and computational thinking within shared training courses in the Digital Learning Environment of the UNITA Alliance (http://univ-unita.eu/).
