Course contents

An innovative course held entirely in English to train “designers in the food sector". Professionals able to blend planning and design skills with knowledge of marketing and communication, in one of the sectors where Italy is a point of reference for the entire world.

The aim of this Master’s course is to train professionals operating in the food sector, and other connected sectors, who are able to blend competencies in marketing and communication with the sensitivity and methodology of design.

The role of the “food sector designer” has been created from the union of food and design. By gathering together new consumer trends they will be able to coordinate the design of:

the processes, methods and environments where food products are processed, distributed and consumed;
food from an aesthetic, communicative and representative point of view through forms, colours and combinations of flavours and smells;
tools and equipment for preparing and exploiting food;
communication activities for the promotion of food products.

Il master intende formare professionisti operanti nel settore alimentare e nei settori a esso collegati che sappiano unire le competenze di marketing e comunicazione con la sensibilità e la metodologia progettuale del design.

Dal connubio cibo/design nasce un “progettista del settore alimentare” che cogliendo le nuove tendenze di consumo è in grado di coordinare la progettazione:

dei processi, delle modalità e degli ambienti dove i prodotti alimentari sono elaborati, distribuiti e consumati;

del cibo dal punto di vista estetico, comunicativo e rappresentativo attraverso forme, colori e combinazioni di sapori e odori;

di attrezzature e utensili per la preparazione e la fruizione del cibo;

delle attività di comunicazione per la promozione dei prodotti alimentari.
