Course contents

The master's degree course in "Administrative and legal sciences of public and private organizations" aims to train a professional figure capable of responding to the new needs of efficiency, effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of complex administrations, with adequate skills to deal with legal, administrative, recruitment and managerial problems, and effectively relate to other public and private organizations. It is a high-profile professional figure, with solid skills that are not limited to the local or national sphere, but which have a European and international scope. In the labor market, these figures are intended not only for state owned companies but also for companies that interact with or are controlled by public bodies, as well as non-profit organizations.
To this end, the master's degree program provides a solid multidisciplinary legal, economic, business, managerial and political-social preparation, aimed at an in-depth understanding of the functioning mechanisms of such organizations.
Specific objectives of the course are:
- broaden the students' ability to apply the basic knowledge already acquired in the three-year degrees in decision-making processes both in the legal and economic-business fields;
- to create general skills but at the same time that allow to intervene in specific areas and problems of the various organizations.
In the training course, the student's study activity is intended to be covered for 70% by personal commitment. It offers the opportunity to attend courses in English, as well as the opportunity to take the final exam in that language, in order to provide adequate preparation to enter an international world of work.
The courses include interactive teaching where traditional lectures alternate with direct participation of students.
The master's degree course is delivered in "mixed" mode and is currently divided into two curricula: private organisations and public entities.
This means that the student can achieve up to a maximum of 80 credits in distance learning mode.

a) Final exam.
The final exam should be:
• Monographic dissertation (in the context of economic research, doctrine, jurisprudence or legislative authority). The candidate must analyze the status quaestionis, discuss weaknesses and propose a systematic and original approach to the subject;
• Term paper, which consists of a subject analysis or a case-study; the candidate must discuss a legal and / or economic analysis, through normative sources, business analysis tools, doctrinal theses and jurisprudential leanings (e.g.: case note; reasoned opinion on a practical case or a problematic issue; business case study). During the work it is possible, with the supervisor’s consent, to convert the structure of the final exam from dissertation to final paper or other way round. The final exam should be written in English.

b) Thesis title.
The thesis title form must be delivered to the “Segreteria studenti Polo CLE”:
- 6 months before the discussion if you write a monographic dissertation
- 3 months before the discussion if you write a term paper
If the candidate changes the presentation form, he /she will follow the specific rules. The conversion of the final exam must be signed by the supervisor.

c) Oral presentation.
The final exam ends with the oral presentation of the work, in the presence of a Commission made up of at least seven teachers:
• Candidates, supervisors, co-examiners and the other commission members discuss the most significant aspects of the research. As soon as the candidates knows the commissioners, and in any case at least one week before the discussion, he / she must send to them the pdf of the thesis;
• The presentation of the term paper involves an oral presentation; the Commission members can ask some questions if they believe it is necessary

d) Evaluation of the degree exam and final grade.
Each “lode” obtained during the university career is worth an additional score of 0.2 to be added to the average final score out of 110. After the oral presentation, the commission assigns:
• up to 7 points, if the candidate has discussed the monographic dissertation;
• up to 5 points, if the candidate has discussed the term paper.
The Commission can award, unanimously, the “lode” if the candidate has obtained the grade of 110/110; the Commission can also confer the mention or, in particularly deserving cases, the recommendation for publication (“dignità di stampa”).
Employment areas envisaged for graduates
The master's degree offers employment opportunities in the field of Legal Experts in companies or public bodies. In particular, it trains specialists in the management and control of public administrations, tax and tax consultants and specialists in personnel problems.
The course prepares for the profession of:
• Management specialists in the Public Administration
• Control specialists in the Public Administration
• Human resources specialists
• Work organization specialists
• Legal experts in businesses
• Legal experience in public bodies

The course DOES NOT allow access to the careers of:
• Notary
• Lawyer.

Gli studenti che intendono iscriversi al Corso di Laurea magistrale in Scienze amministrative e giuridiche delle organizzazioni pubbliche e private devono essere in possesso della Laurea o del diploma universitario di durata triennale o di altro titolo conseguito all'estero, riconosciuto idoneo in base alla normativa vigente, ed avere ottenuto un'adeguata preparazione nelle materie giuridiche ed economiche. Gli studenti devono dunque essere in possesso dei requisiti curriculari e di adeguata personale preparazione.
La verifica della personale preparazione è effettuata da una Commissione nominata dal Consiglio di Corso di Studio con le modalità previste dal Regolamento didattico.

I candidati devono essere in possesso dei seguenti requisiti curriculari minimi (24 CFU totali):
• almeno 6 crediti formativi in almeno 3 materie afferenti a SSD dell'area 12 (specificamente 6 CFU in IUS/01, 6 CFU in IUS/04 o IUS/10, 6 CFU in IUS/08 o IUS/09) per un totale 18 CFU;
• almeno 6 crediti formativi in almeno 1 materia afferente a SSD dell'area 13 (specificamente 6 CFU in SECS-P/01 o SECS-P/02 o SECS-P/07 o SECS-P/08) per un totale 6 CFU;
I colloqui si svolgeranno periodicamente, in aule aperte al pubblico, previa comunicazione nel sito del Dipartimento di Giurisprudenza, alla presenza di almeno due docenti del corso di Laurea magistrale; non sarà consentito sostenere il colloquio di ammissione più di n. 2 volte per ciascun anno accademico.

Per i soli studenti non UE soggetti al superamento della prova di conoscenza della lingua italiana, purché in possesso dei requisiti di accesso, la verifica dell'adeguatezza della personale preparazione avverrà nel corso dello stesso colloquio volto ad accertare la conoscenza della lingua italiana.
I candidati in possesso di un titolo accademico ottenuto all'estero devono candidarsi attraverso la procedura di Ateneo.
