Course contents

The professional refresher course in "BIM SPECIALIST" Implementation of BIM production processes on Autodesk Revit Architecture technology, is aimed mainly at I and II level graduates in
disciplines provided for in the access requirements, professional employees of businesses or companies, even if in possession of a diploma, operating in the construction sector who wish to dedicate a
special in-depth study on Building Information Modeling issues.
A profound transformation of the processes of design, construction and management of the built environment is affecting the construction sector passing from a setting mainly analogous to another in which the decision-making processes, for the entire life cycle of buildings and infrastructures, will be determined and managed by data and digital models. The knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) is a fundamental element to support this type of change, not only in the perspective of a responsible use of digital technology, but above all related to a profound change of a cultural, scientific and professional.
BIM is a process that involves the creation and management of the digital representation of the technical, physical and functional characteristics of a building complex. That process generates a
digital model that allows construction sector operators to share and modify information and resources in real time at every stage, from concept to design, construction, maintenance and management of the life cycle of the building and infrastructure, up to their eventual demolition.
Starting from the BIM operating framework, according to the main international standards, the student will be guided through lessons and examples to a complete vision of the control, management tools,
and modeling of the project.
The course aims to provide a broad view on BIM procedures and advanced training on Autodesk Revit Architecture, a "parametric" software dedicated to BIM, where the designer has the ability to create and modify directly and immediately and automatically what he designs: opaque and transparent casings, vertical and horizontal load-bearing structures, continuous or points, vertical and horizontal connecting elements, finishes, furnishings and various accessories.
Autodesk Revit, which will be the software behind the course, is one of the most widespread and well-known BIM Authoring platforms in the world.
The course, lasting 100 hours, will be held by qualified teachers who operate according to international technologies and standards and provides for the issue of a certificate of suitability for the management of basic level BIM technologies. The professional training will be that of the "BIM Specialist" operator.
