Course contents

The course aims to prepare a professional figure with specialized skills in the sustainable management of aquatic resources in protected (AMP, SIC,) and unprotected coastal areas, also acquiring specific knowledge on mariculture and fishing techniques and in aspects relating to enhancement , protection and promotion of marine resources and related supply chains and in the acquisition and management of funding on these issues.

The graduate will have acquired skills in the sustainable management of fishing and farming activities in coastal areas and in protected marine environments (AMP, SIC, etc.). Knowledge on topics such as: ichthiopathology, toxicology of residues, biochemistry will also be provided. applied to the marine environment and to food of aquatic origin, the enhancement and promotion of marine resources and related supply chains, safety in fish products, implementation of fish supply chains and certification of production. The graduate will also have acquired knowledge in the sector of financing available in this area, including problems relating to the preparation and management of projects; and notions on the marketing of fish products, on the diversification of fishing activities and on the control of supply chains.
