Course contents

Definition of the contents of a first level master's degree in Materials Science and Technology with the title "Innovative materials for a sustainable economy"

First level Master for graduates in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Sciences and related.

This master must be able to decisively direct innovation on measurable and economically quantifiable parameters based on the objectives that a society based on such as the European one must set itself.
This master, of 60 credits, aims to complete the training of a first level graduate in Chemistry and Physics by giving a professional characterization able to exploit the knowledge gained during the degree, in particular those relating to the physical and chemical characterization of a material. The exiting figure will be able to operate and make informed and optimized decisions on all aspects of the production and management of materials, from procurement to its disposal, and in particular on:
1) control of raw materials;
2) certification and product quality;
3) energy consumption and CO2 production throughout the life cycle;
4) disposal and health of the workplace

Basic knowledge of chemistry and physics will be correlated with cross-cutting and interdisciplinary approaches through the use of new technologies and data series analysis this knowledge will allow to improve the skills in the control of processes and materials.
