Graduates' Profile

Need some help?

Selection of cohort
It is possible to limit the analysis to particular selected groups, for example on the basis of the degree programme level (aggregation of degree programme type), the degree programme type, the university, the field of study and, if active, the faculty/department/school, the degree classification or the degree programme.
Comparison columns
After having selected the cohort to be analysed, you can break it down according to a further variable chosen from those available (e.g. gender, work during university classes) and thus perform a direct comparison.
Year of graduation
You can choose a single graduation year or make a historical comparison by selecting "all". The historical series refers only to the degree programmes/degree classification that have graduates in the last year.
Degree programme level (aggregation of degree programme type)
The choice of the degree programme level affects the choice of the variable degree programme type. In order to activate the variables degree classification, degree programme and recently enrolled it is essential to make a choice in degree programme type. Among second-level graduates, until 2021 graduates survey, Primary Education Sciences degree programme (pre-Bologna process reform) and other 4-, 5- or 6-year-degree programme (pre-Bologna process reform) are also available.
Degree programme type
The choice of the degree programme type affects the possibility of using additional selection or comparison variables (e.g. degree classification is only available after having selected the degree programme type). Until 2021 graduates survey, Primary Education Sciences degree programme (pre-Bologna process reform) and other 4-, 5- or 6-year-degree programme (pre-Bologna process reform) are also available.
Faculty/Department/School
The information is only available after having selected the university. The description of the structure specifies in brackets whether it is a Faculty (Fac.), a Department (Dep.) or a School (School).
Broad field of study
It represents the field of study classification adopted by the italian Ministry of Education starting from 2020. The classification has been used also for the previous surveys.
Field of study
It represents the degree classification adopted by the italian Ministry of Education starting from 2020. The classification has been used also for the previous surveys.
Degree classification
The ministerial code of the degree classification is specified in brackets (according to the provisions of Ministerial Decree no. 509/1999 and subsequent Ministerial Decree no. 270/2004).
Degree programme
The variable associates a unique code to each individual degree programme activated at a given university (code of the Off.F. educational offer database): therefore it can only be selected after having made a choice of the degree programme type, the university and at least one variable among Faculty, field of study or degree classification. The ministerial code of the degree classification is specified in brackets.
Degree programme pre-Bologna Process reform
The information is available until 2021 graduates survey and only after having selected "other 4-, 5- or 6-year-degree programme (pre-Bologna process reform)" at the degree programme type.
Recently enrolled
Makes it possible to distinguish between graduates enrolled in recent years and graduates enrolled many years ago. Graduates enrolled in recent years are those who have a date of enrolment that allows a maximum delay in studies of one year compared to the prescribed duration.
In detail:
  • For the first level degree programme, at most four years before the degree is awarded.
  • For second-level degree programme, at most three years before the degree is awarded.
  • For single-cycle second-level degree programme in Medicine and Surgery and Dentistry and dental prosthesis (the latter only for the Ministerial Decree no. 270/2004), at most 7 years before the degree is awarded.
  • For single-cycle second-level degree programme (excluding the degree classification mentioned above), at most 6 years before the degree is awarded.
  • For the Primary Education Sciences degree programme (pre-Bologna process reform), at most 5 years before the degree is awarded (available until 2021 graduates survey).
